SMOOTHIE KING CELEBRATES CARNIVAL SEASON WITH KING CAKE SMOOTHIES

Limited-time smoothies available in three states beginning King’s Day, Jan. 6.

 

DALLAS (January 1, 2019) – Smoothie King, the leading smoothie brand committed to inspiring guests to live a healthy and active lifestyle, brings back its popular King Cake Smoothies to celebrate the Carnival Season beginning King’s Day, Jan. 6, at participating Smoothie King locations in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

“As a company founded in New Orleans, we love to celebrate this unique holiday season with nutritious versions of the classic King Cake, which is a traditional Carnival treat,” said Smoothie King CEO Wan Kim. “The King Cake Smoothies are our way of helping people continue on their health and fitness journeys – even during the decadence of Carnival season.”

All three King Cake Smoothies feature whole fruits, almond milk and a hint of cinnamon:

  • Gladiator® King Cake – Califia Farms® Almond Milk, bananas, Gladiator® Protein, dates, Protein Blend, cinnamon, almond extract and vanilla
  • Yogurt D-Lite® King Cake – Califia Farms® Almond Milk, vanilla frozen yogurt, bananas, dates, Protein Blend, cinnamon, almond extract and vanilla

The King Cake Smoothies will be available in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Jackson and Biloxi, Mississippi; and Mobile, Alabama, through March 5, which is the day after Mardi Gras.
