Our Commitment to Help Fight Racism
Did you know that the Smoothie King crown is designed to represent three people who joined hands, with the third hand outstretched to welcome others to join our journey? It doesn’t describe a specific type of person or race, because we welcome everyone to join and our mission is to inspire all people. We stand together as an inclusive brand that’s committed to being a safe place for all and helping each person live out their purpose. This is not political, it is just human.
Injustice and inequality are not right. What is right is using our voice to educate and our resources to fund causes that fight discrimination.
We believe actions speak louder than words:
- We are taking time to speak with our team members about recent events and the action we’re taking
- We are donating $100,000 to the Legal Defense Fund of the NAACP to promote fair and equitable treatment of all people, and have challenged our team members and franchise owners to do the same
- We are updating our training to further ensure inclusion and respect in our stores and throughout our organization
